We strongly prefer appointments to minimize wait times and ensure we can dedicate appropriate time to your care. However, we understand illness doesn't always allow for advance planning. Call our Greenwood Village office when you're experiencing symptoms, and we'll work to get you seen as quickly as possible, typically the same day.
Sick visits at our primary care practice mean seeing providers who know your medical history, have access to your complete health records, and can coordinate care with your ongoing treatment plans. Urgent care centers treat you as a stranger without context. Additionally, sick visits at our office cost less than urgent care for most patients with insurance, and we provide continuity; you can follow up with the same providers who treated your illness.
Bring your insurance card, photo ID, list of current medications, and any relevant medical records if you're a new patient. If you're already established with us, we have your medical history on file. Come prepared to describe your symptoms, when they started, and any treatments you've tried.
Yes, when appropriate. We prescribe antibiotics for bacterial infections like strep throat, UTIs, sinus infections, and bronchitis when testing confirms bacterial cause. We don't prescribe antibiotics for viral infections (such as most colds and flu) because they're ineffective. Our in-house testing helps us accurately identify whether your infection requires antibiotics.
Visit the emergency room for chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, suspected stroke, severe head injury, loss of consciousness, or severe abdominal pain. Schedule a sick visit for flu symptoms, minor injuries, infections, persistent coughs, fevers below 103°F (in adults), or other concerning but non-life-threatening symptoms. If you're unsure, call our office; we'll help you determine the appropriate level of care.
